Senior Program Associate, Local Foods Program

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 19, 2011 IATP seeks a full-time Senior Program Associate to be part of IATP’s Local Foods program. The Senior Program Associate will be involved with the design and implementation of a variety of local food systems initiatives on a local and national basis, with an emphasis on Farm to Institution efforts. The Program’s current project portfolio includes initiatives focused on value chain and local food systems infrastructure development, Farm to School, federal policy issues, food safety, food access, and a nascent youth/elder initiative, among others. This position will report to the Director of the Local Foods Program and will require a strong background in program design and implementation as well as analytical, writing and communication skills. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Collaborate with Program Director to develop and implement new and existing programmatic initiatives. Support long-term program planning • Lead implementation for agreed projects • Support partnerships with various outside constituencies including fellow non-profits, allied businesses, government entities and academic institutions • Participate in advocacy efforts for federal and local policy change • Supervise interns, and potentially staff, as needed • Support communications through the news media, social media and IATP websites, as well as written reports and analyses • Represent the organization publicly • Participate in fundraising and reporting Click this link to view and apply for this job!
