Maybe it IS me...

Maybe it IS me...
Posted By: Darryl D. Smith on October 05, 2005

It's been a while since I blogged, but I'm beginning to think that mabye I can't get no one, because it is me. I won't leave all the details, but I lost a good friend of mines for nothing. I was just talking to her, and I let her know that I liked her and all, and she freaked out. She told me I was wierd and some other ish that really hurt.

I also had a good girlfriend and all. I was good to her, but apparently, I wasn't good enough for her, as she accused me of cheating 2 weeks into a relationship.

I didn't even like the girl she accused me of cheating on! I would neva cheat on anyone, because I've seen what that does to people.

The other girl I had, I told yall about. (Forgive & Forget blog). It seems like I just can't find that right woman. Don't tell me to slow down and wait, because it took me 18 years to get my first girl. I've been waiting for the longest. When I look, I always get rejected. I don't know. Maybe Black women just ain't for me. I want a Black woman, because they are the strongest out there, but apparently, they not ready for a good guy like me.

So my question to yall is...what am I doing wrong? Am I too nice? Do I need to be doggish without being a complete dog? I'm just lost and I need some advice...

Sup dawg:

Wisdom realizes and you are/aspire to be that. You are commendable.
I have made many mistakes that only God could correct.
Hold your head up Bro.
People see, appreciate and realize your value more than you can ever know just by your influence.

By the way, struggle with self always preceeded the greatest of men. They are mentioned throughout history and throughout your Bible.
You desire a good woman and she is out there, this is why we both struggle.
A good woman seeks truth and realness.
She realizes you are trying from your words and your actions.

trust me, the right girl is out there for u. and please, please, don't give up on black women because you've had some bad experiences with some of us. maybe you need to look for different qualities in the women that u date. u seem like a nice guy- just continue being urself and the girl who is meant for u will come to u. good luck and don't worry.

Keep your head up. So what if she does want you. She is missing out. A man ever dwells on a girl down him down. She did you a favor by not messing with u.

First you can't blame yourself. And don't stop being you for anybody or I will catch the 1st fly to GSU and beat ya tail all across that campus. That chic will realize that she lost a good thang when she gets the one that beating on her or publicly degrading her and damaging her selfworth. Basically she will miss what she had when its too late. Don't dwell on the past all we can do is let it go and learn from our mistake keep trucking and hope that the same one don't happen in the future. In do time you will find the right one that you are looking for. What I had to learn is that you pray about it and don't go looking for it because we tend to look for love in all the wrong places. So I stopped looking and let love find me.
