WSSU's Student Life

Posted By: Nataly Lavren on September 01, 2011 Student life affects all students socially, intellectually and culturally. We love to celebrate, and there are so many opportunities to to participate in various events throughout the year. There is a back to school carnival, which welcomes new students, allows current students to reconnect, and features food and live entertainment. Other events that bring students and campus leaders together range from symposiums featuring nationally known speakers such as Nikki Giovanni concert and theater productions, to "Meet The Rams", modeling shows, career fairs, and on-campus cultural organizations. And the excitement doesn't stop there. You have to see the Greeks "Stomp the Yard", and join the Homecoming festivities which begin a week in advance, leading up to game day. WSSU is a diverse community that seeks to enrich each student's life, while providing a nurturing environment where learning and exposing to worldly issues occurs. We enter to learn, and depart to serve. I am so proud to be a RAM! If you enjoyed this article, Join HBCU CONNECT today for similar content and opportunities via email! |
