Eufaula High won its region opener in impressive fashion Friday, thumping host Booker T.
Washington 47-6 in Tuskegee.
The Tigers (2-0, 1-0) scored touchdowns on four straight first half possessions and held the Eagles scoreless until the final minutes of the fourth quarter.

There was no shortage of standouts Friday evening.
Fullback Arenza Johnson rushed for a pair of touchdowns. His first touchdown a 14-yard run gave the Tigers a 12-0 lead with just 36 seconds remaining in the first period.
He was the bell cow for us tonight,
Klages said.
Quarterback Ben Thomas scored a pair of rushing touchdowns. He also completed a 14-yard TD pass to
Mike Mayo for the Tigers first points.
For the third time in two games, the Tigers recovered a sky kickoff. Trey Johns recovered the kick to set up Arenza Johnsons first touchdown.
Jim Johnson did well on special teams, converting all five of his extra point attempts.
Maurice Crews rushed for his sixth touchdown of the season, an 11-yard run to open scoring in the second quarter. (

Defensive end Terrance Lewis finished with four sacks.

Klages was also pleased with the secondary, which did not give up big plays.
Tyreece Mayo intercepted a late second quarter pass and returned it 47 yards to thwart to a BTW drive.
Jeremiah Forte also scored a rushing touchdown in the second half.
The Tigers were able to substitute freely for most of the second half. Reserve players did well against BTWs starters.
Eufaula will face Tallassee in another region game this Friday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at
Tiger Stadium. It will be the first of three consecutive home games for the Tigers.
