2. Bethune-Cookman (1-1, 0-1): 'Cats let win slip away and maybe conference title with it. Last week: 1

3. Hampton (2-0, 1-0): At Old Dominion, then B-CU in five-day span. Last week: 5

4. Norfolk State (1-1, 0-0): Led West Virginia at half, 12-10; doesn't want to discuss second half. Last week: 4

5. Florida A&M (1-1, 0-1): Decided not to try onside kick with 2:19 left in 23-17 loss at Hampton. Last week: 3

6. Delaware State (2-0, 0-0): Shaw fumble with 49 seconds left led to Hornets' winning TD. Last week: 6

8. North Carolina A&T (1-1, 0-0): Mauled by Appalachian State, which is not on a different level but might as well be.
