Six of the opponents participated in the 2011 NCAA Mens Basketball Championship, while another five took part in the postseason National Invitation Tournament. In addition to the Pac-12 Conference schools on the schedule, UO will battle teams from 11 different conferences: SEC, Big Sky, Ohio Valley, Big Ten, Conference-USA, West Coast, WAC! , ACC, SWAC, MEAC and Southland.
Oregon will host exhibition games against Grand Canyon State on Nov. 2 and Lewis and Clark on Nov. 6. The Ducks open the regular season at
Vanderbilt on Nov. 11, before returning home for a pair of games against Eastern Washington (Nov. 17) and Southeast Missouri State (Nov. 20).
UOs next three opponents are coming off postseason appearances. Oregon is on the road Nov. 23 to face Big Ten-newcomer
Nebraska, before returning to Eugene for a home game with
UTEP on Nov. 29. UO then travels to Salt Lake City, Utah, to face
BYU in a neutral-site game at EnergySolutions Arena on Dec. 3.
Following that stretch, UO will have a six-game home stand starting with
Fresno State (Dec. 10), Portland State (Dec. 12) and
Virginia (Dec. 18). Oregon will then host the Global Sports Hoops Showcase at Matt Arena, a four-team tournament featuring games against North Carolina Central (Dec. 20), Prairie View A&M (Dec. 21) and Stephen F. Austin (Dec. 22).
Following the holiday break, the inaugural Pac-12 Conference season will commence with games against
Washington State (Dec. 29) and at Washington (Dec. 31). The Ducks-Cougars contest is a neutral-site game scheduled for Spokane Arena.
The first home Pac w)??12 games feature
Stanford (Jan. 5) and
California (Jan. 8). The Ducks are then back on the road to take on
Arizona State (Jan. 12) and
Arizona (Jan. 14). Following that southern swing, the Ducks play three consecutive home league games,
USC (Jan. 19),
UCLA (Jan.
21) and
Oregon State (Jan. 29).
Oregon makes its first conference trips to Utah (Feb. 2) and
Colorado (Feb. 4) in early February, before Washington (Feb. 9) and Washington State (Feb. 11) make their return trips to Eugene. The Ducks will then play three consecutive on the road with contests at California (Feb. 16), Stanford (Feb. 19) and Oregon State (Feb. 26).
Colorado (March 1) and Utah (March 3) make their first trip! s to Eugene as league members in the final week of regular-season play.
The Pac-12 Conference Tournament will be held March 7-10 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, Calif.
