Claflin earns sixth straight win

The Lady Panthers (6-3) continued their winning ways by capturing their first SIAC Eastern Division matchup of the young season against Paine College (4-2) in straight sets (28-26, 25-23, 25-10) in front of an enthusiastic home crowd. With the win, the Lady Panthers have captured six consecutive victories after losing the first three matches to NCAA Division I opponents South Carolina State, Alabama State and The Citadel.
Chelcey Foster was again the big hitter for Claflin tallying a game high 13 kills while teammate Lauren Calvin had 12 kills. Kathrin Fischer helped the offense with 40 assists as Courtney Person defended with 12 digs. Claflin will return to action on Thursday at 6 p.m. in the Jonas T. Kennedy Health and Physical Education Center on the Campus of Claflin University. For full article click here.
