Eagles Center Jamaal Jackson Heads To The Hall Of Fame

Jamaal Jackson has been a solid player here with the Eagles for years and now hes going to the hall of fame. The Delaware State hall of fame that is. Philadelphia Eagles center and former Delaware State University standout Jamaal Jackson has announced that he plans to attend the 2011 DSU Athletics Hall-of-Fame ceremony in which he and 12 others will honored next month. Jackson is in his ninth season with the Eagles. The Miami, Fla., native was a standout with the Hornets from 1999 to 2002, setting a school record with 45 consecutive starts.Oh but Jackson is not the only former Eagle who is set to be enshrined in the DSU Hornets hall. Darnerian McCants is in as well Delaware States 2011 Hall-of-Fame class also includes former NFL standout Darnerian McCants, a 2001 grad. McCants played six seasons in the NFL, including stints with the Washington Redskins, Eagles and Baltimore Ravens. As a senior at Delaware State in 2000, he was named to three All-America teams after leading all Division I-AA players with 18 touchdown receptions, which still stands as DSU and Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference records.
