OFFENSE: F: Alabama A&M fell behind early and didn't run the ball very well at all. The Bulldogs, who struggled on third down for the second week in a row, converting on just 7-of-19 attempts, failed to score a touchdown for the first time since the Texas Southern game last season.
DEFENSE: F: Secondary made Southern quarterback Dray Joseph look like an All-SWAC performer. The Bulldogs pitched a shutout in the second half, but the damage had already been done.
SPECIAL TEAMS: D: Kicker Chance Wilson kicked two field goals, but also missed one, had the ball snapped over his head on a punt and Alabama A&M got little out of its return game or kick coverage teams.
COACHING: F: Alabama A&M wasn't prepared to play on either side of the ball and it showed. Southern was riding a seven-game losing streak and had been waxed 33-7 a week ago at Tennessee State, but took the fight to the Bulldogs and they didn't respond.
OVERALL: F: The Bulldogs are now 3-10 in their last 13 games under coach Anthony Jones and Saturday's loss was by far the worst when you consider how bad Southern has been under Stump Mitchell.
