Golden Rams Earn Weekly Awards

Now, the Golden Rams can add an impressive amount of SIAC weekly awards to the resume from Saturdays effort

The Golden Rams notched three SIAC awards headlined by the Offensive Player of the Week, quarterback Stanley Jennings. The senior QB threw for 319 yards and four touchdowns in Saturdays blowout win.

Three of those touchdown passes fell into the hands of wide receiver Ronnie Tubbs, the SIACs Newcomer of the Week. Tubbs caught six balls for 136 yards. The junior wide out is third in the conference in receiving yards after the first two weeks.

ASU left tackle Darvel Nelson reaped the honor of Offensive Lineman of the Week.

Quarterback Stanley Jennings credits extra work in the film room for this week's offensive output.

I was in the film room a little more this last week so I kind of understood when they we're blitzing... like coach said it was a statement game so we already felt that we had a pretty good team so we got stuff to prove, Jennings said.

Jennings could also prove to be the Division Two National Player of the Week.



The Heritage Sports Radio Network selected the ASU passer as one of four finalists for the weekly award.
