Here is one of the many positions that needs to be filled immediately: Internist (Hospitalist) As the chosen Internist (Hospitalist) and part of a multidisciplinary team that includes two physician assistants, you will have the opportunity toprovide and/or oversee medical care for Acute Inpatient Psychiatry Unitand Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MHRRTP). You will work closely with the multidisciplinaryclinicians in the development and implementation of a recovery-oriented, individual patient treatment plan. Be part of our dynamic team of professionals in Behavioral Health and Sciencesimplementing innovative treatment initiatives developed to meet the changing needs of our Veterans. A key responsibility is to provide opioid replacement therapy (buprenorphine/suboxone) for appropriate Veterans and serve as consultant to other physicians in the area of drug/alcohol detoxification. You will be an integral part of theBH&Streatment team preparing or co-signing all H&P use and/or discharge paperwork within 24 hours of completion; participate in the screening of referrals for medical appropriateness for admission to the inpatient/residential units; and provide clinical supervision for physician extenders (including quality review of their clinical documentation and providing individual and/or group supervision). May be required to participate in a weekend call schedule for medical care on the acute inpatient psychiatry and MHRRTP units.
