And with VA Patient Satisfaction Scores leading the healthcare industry, you'll be joining one of the most respected facilities in the Nation.ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: 11-540084 VACANCY ID: 540084 POSITION TITLE: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist- CRNAVN-0610-00/00 WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time Salarywill be recommended by aProfessional Standards Board (PSB) and is based upon education and/or experience. This vacancy is located at the Oscar G. On-call (compensated)and overtime hours will be required. Recruitment incentive MAY be authorized for qualified candidates. The Nurse Anesthetist performs pre-operative evaluations of patients, intra-operative care of patients under general and regional anesthesia, post-operative care, emerency airway management in the hospital, placement of intravenous catheters and intra-arterial lines and call responsibilities. Assists with quality assurance activities facility wide and specific to the department and with routine maintenance and cleaning of anesthesia equipment. A CRNA must be able to respond to situations of life-threatening nature on a daily basis. They must act promptly, recognizing the need for supervisory assistance and support, and summoning same forthwith.
