Posted By: How May I Help You NC on October 21, 2011 Game ticket includes free admission to State Fair of Louisiana and concert featuring Lakeside SHREVEPORT-BOSSIER CITY, LA – The 2011 Shreveport Classic, featuring the top-ranked Prairie View A&M University Panthers (#1, SWAC West) taking on the Jackson State University Tigers (#2, SWAC East), will kick-off at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at Shreveport’s Independence Stadium. General seating tickets are $25 each, and can be purchased in advance at a number of Shreveport-Bossier area outlets including the Independence Bowl Foundation, Super 1 Foods, Shreveport Federal Credit Union, and more. The post-game entertainment showcase begins at 7 p.m. In addition to the game itself, a variety of public and alumni-only events are planned throughout the weekend. The 2011 Shreveport Classic Golf Tournament will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at Shreveport Country Club. On Saturday, Oct. 29, PVAMU will participate in a service project, aiding with Garden and Conservatory Clean-Up Day at the Barnwell Garden and Art Center, 8 a.m.-12 p.m., at 601 Clyde Fant Parkway in downtown Shreveport. Additional volunteers are needed. Lunch will be provided at 11:30 a.m. PVAMU will also host an alumni breakfast at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29 at the Shreveport Convention Center’s Red River Room.
