Posted By: How May I Help You NC on November 02, 2011 FEATURED Content Eastern Illinois University, a NCAA Division I member institution and member of the Ohio Valley Conference, is seeking applications for Head Football Coach. The Head Football Coach will be responsible for the direction and oversight of a NCAA Division I football program at Eastern Illinois University and the coaching functions related to the sport of football. These functions include, but are not limited to the following: coaching, recruiting, practice, game day preparation, alumni communication, fundraising and management of staff. Provide effective management of games and practices. Supervise staff and establish a strong working relationship with the University and surrounding community. Follow NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference and university rules and regulations. Develop the athletes physically, mentally and emotionally for Division I-FCS competition. Organize and manage camps and clinics. Any other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director. Qualifications include the following: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred. Minimum of 7 years collegiate and/or professional coaching experience with Division I collegiate experience preferred and coordinator experience preferred. Proven ability to lead and manage people. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability and success in teaching the skills and fundamentals of the sport. The ability to organize and motivate student-athletes to maximum performance level in sports and academic achievements. Proven experience in recruiting highly motivated and qualified student-athletes. Compliant with all NCAA, conference and university rules and policies. Must be willing to relocate.
