Assistant Professor of Social Work/Field Director

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on December 25, 2011 The Department of Social Work, Sociology and Anthropology at Juniata College, a highly ranked, national liberal arts college of 1,500 students located in the scenic Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, seeks candidates for an up to three year fixed term Assistant Professor position, beginning August, 2012. This position includes the designation of Field Director and is ideal for the person who is interested in both field education and the chance to teach a variety of courses in social work and sociology. The Department of Social Work has been accredited by CSWE since 1984, and typically graduates 6-8 students per year. Further information about the department can be found at http://departments.juniata.edu/sociology. Juniata and the Social Work Program seek applications from diverse candidates and from candidates who support diversity. The position may convert to a tenure track position in the future; therefore, appropriate scholarship, research and college service are encouraged. Participation in student advising is required. Applicants must submit 1) a brief statement of teaching experience, philosophy, and interests; 2) a curriculum vitae; 3) undergraduate and graduate academic transcripts; and 4) three letters of recommendation.
