  • GENERAL SUMMARY

    Systems Engineer will be responsible for operational support of an Enterprise Microsoft Systems Management (SCCM) environment.  The qualified candidate will maintain all aspects of the Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager to include: Infrastructure, administrator console, software/hardware inventory, software distribution.  Responsibilities include designing, testing and implementing upgrades to both server and desktop operating systems.  This person would be responsible for OS versioning and documentation so that we can transition over for day to day support.  This engineer will also be responsible for determining what hardware (server and desktop) that the enterprise will use as a standard going forward.

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    1.     Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience

    2.     Minimum of three years’ experience of SMS systems administration

    3.     Minimum of two years’ experience of SCCM administration

    4.     Minimum of seven years’ experience with MS Windows System Administration

    5.     Experience with Enterprise software packages such as Active Directory; Microsoft Exchange; Backup Software; Anti-Virus Software; Citrix Server, & Server Patch Automation Software are preferred.

    6.     Experience preferred with the various storage devices and tape libraries.

    7.     Experience with various cluster environments

    8.     Experience with standard Windows tools and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, WINS, SNMP, SMTP) and security hardening processes

    9.     Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills

    10.  Works well both independently and as part of a cross functional team

    11.  Detail oriented and organized

    12.  Excellent time management skills

    13.  Good customer service and communication skills (oral and written)

    14.  Solid work ethics and willingness to put in extra time/effort

    15.  Ability to multitask and at the same time provide quality deliverables

    16.  Experience with project management, change management/process control, and documentation skills are a plus.

    17.  Strong skills in the use of PC desktop applications such as Word, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.

    18.  Excellent communication skills with all types of employees and management

    19.  Proven experience in IT project management and systems implementations.

    20.  Proven track record in successful project completion (on-time, on-budget, goals met).

    21.  Demonstrated ability to lead multiple small to medium sized projects simultaneously while effectively meeting all deadlines and budgets.

    22.  Knowledge of information systems principles, methodologies and assumptions required.

    23.  Previous healthcare experience desirable.

    24.  Ability to modify work schedules and practices to meet job requirements; requires occasional overnight travel. This includes being on-call afterhours as required.
