PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Account Coordinator (AC¯) is a client facing role on the Intermediary Client Service Team. The ICS team is an integral and indispensible partner with the Sales and Relationship Management and Platform Services teams in support of the firm's [U.S.]-based intermediary relationships. The Account Coordinator maintains service excellence while providing a high degree of leverage to the account teams in relationship management, client service and prospecting opportunities with our national and regional clients as well as clearing firms, TAMPs and consultants. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES Delivers excellent client and consultative services to the account management teams, clients and prospects. The incumbent will work to strengthen TRP's relationship with clients through a strong knowledge of TRP and subadvised client fund policies, TRP investment products and service offerings, TRP investment strategies, and marketing offerings. Further, they will possess an understanding of the primary TRP strategies used across client base, as well as knowledge of how clients use our funds within their product line up and key competitors within the platforms. The Account Coordinator (AC)¯ is expected to provide the Account Manager AM¯ with actionable intelligence¯. On-site meeting management works with AMs, shared services and admin team to help plan and coordinate meetings. Seeks information from and shares information with clients. Use negotiation and facilitation skills to ensure the clients' investment related deliverables needs are met while considering firm resources and compliance requirements. Client needs include items ranging from monthly and quarterly data sheets to firm overviews and complex DDQs. The AC intakes the deliverable, determines best internal group to complete, negotiates deadlines between the client and appropriate shared service team, and ensures the finished piece meets the client need, is in the appropriate format, contains no errors or inconsistencies, and is delivered by the client deadline and in accordance with both T. Rowe Price and the clients' compliance policies. Work effectively cross-functionally with an established internal network. Negotiate with the client as necessary on deadlines for repeatable and ad hoc requests. Communicate client requirements to internal groups timely (MPC, GCIR, legal, etc.) The incumbent has ultimate accountability for oversight of the deliverables that are distributed by ICS, ensuring the final deliverable meets the needs of the client in terms of content Manage distribution of value added¯ content to appropriate Home Office gatekeeper contacts. Sales and marketing related requests: Sales processes -- Manage RFP/DDQ process and have full understanding of opportunity, investment vehicle, strategy. Review response, provide insightful feedback, leverage AM time. Marketing support marketing effort through generic TRP content as well as creating custom and co-brand material. Where appropriate, partner with TPD Mktg client advocate group. Maintain strong relationships with marketing contacts for firms where marketing makes a difference; maintain client specific marketing requirements. Advocacy and negotiation skills necessary. Prepare for and present new clients to the Client Review Committee, a cross-functional team comprised of senior management across the firm. Responsibilities include researching FINRA database, facilitating the Due Diligence call out with FIS, understanding how client is planning to use TRP funds within their platform, anticipating CRC questions and being adequately prepared to respond. The AC will work closely with the AM on unusual/complex requests, and should be prepared to work the requests through the system and present them to the CRC independently. This category of work would also include facilitating requests for client use of capacity constrained funds (in accordance with TRP policy), institutional funds, excessive trading and redemption fee exemption, etc. Requires an understanding of key policies under which the TRP funds are distributed.
