Posted By: How May I Help You NC on February 21, 2012 The Communication Arts Department at St. Francis College invites solicitations for a full-time, non-tenure-track Lecturer in Film and Digital Media Production, beginning Fall 2012. The selected hire will be a dedicated teacher/scholar who has research, teaching and digital media production experience. S/he will teach our core Communication Arts courses and courses in our concentration Digital Media: Film, Broadcasting and Journalism. Class subjects include mass communication, film history, film criticism, international cinema, media culture, basic and advanced digital media production. Qualified candidates have a Ph.D. in Mass Communication or a doctorate in the Humanities with significant experience in the creative use of technological aspects of media across platforms. They will have the desire and ability to prepare and guide undergraduate students in the production of a wide range of informed creative projects. A special interest in the cultural aspects of the disciple is encouraged, particularly regarding the dialogue between film/media studies and digital media production.
