Posted By: How May I Help You NC on February 23, 2012 About the Program The Comcast/NBCUniversal Finance and Accounting Internship Program will provide high potential, rising college seniors a unique opportunity to experience one of our many finance functions within the Comcast footprint over the course of ten weeks. During this time, you will have the opportunity to work in one of four exciting locations while building your professional skill set. You will also gain exposure to key business and financial leaders and will be provided with opportunities to develop your business and financial acumen. At the conclusion of your internship, you may be considered for full-time employment, to commence upon successful completion of your degree program. Comcast Corporation is one of the world's leading media, entertainment and communications companies. Comcast is principally involved in the operation of cable systems through Comcast Cable Communications and in the development, production and distribution of entertainment, news, sports and other content for global audiences through NBCUniversal. Comcast Cable Communications is one of the nation's largest video, high-speed Internet and phone providers to residential and business customers. Comcast is the majority owner and manager of NBCUniversal, which owns and operates entertainment and news cable networks, the NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, local television station groups, television production operations, a major motion picture company and theme parks. Tasks: - Opens, sorts, and distributes mail. - Processes routine items and records. - Answers phones and takes messages or provides information. - Operates various office equipment. - Assists with projects to ensure deadlines are met. - Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary. - Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Possible assignments Your responsibilities will vary based on your assigned function, and is designed to provide you with a thorough understanding of the entire business.
