Regiuel Days and Joe Weaver are two dynamic technologists and marketers who will present an exciting session on new ways to promote STEM education. With today’s interest in texts, tweets, video, and other social media, Days and Weaver will discuss methods of leveraging the latest technologies to get the STEM message out, build a following, promote STEM programs at institutions of higher learning and even go viral! Come and check out their eye-catching tips, simulations and techniques at ASU’s HBCU Conference.

Regiuel Days is a Principal Technology Strategist in Microsoft’s US Public Sector organization. A 15-year Microsoft veteran, Regiuel began his career as a software engineer at the company’s Redmond headquarters and contributed to the design and development of several major Microsoft products and services. He now works exclusively with public sector organizations to help them realize the full value of their information technology investments and optimize the delivery of services to their constituents.

Regiuel also serves as the lead for the company’s Partner Diversity Program, an initiative which aims to accelerate the growth and development of minority-owned technology firms. In this capacity, he sits on the board of directors for several organizations that have a keen focus on business and workforce development in historically underserved communities.

A native Louisianan, Regiuel is a graduate of Grambling State University where he earned a degree in Computer Information Systems. He currently resides in Bowie, Maryland with his wife Ayanna and their two children.

Joseph N. Weaver Jr.

is the founder of Global Design Interactive (GDI), a 15-year-old, 8(a) small, minority-owned, Maryland-based marketing and communications firm, consistently ranked among the top marketing and advertising firms in the region. Since its1995 inception, Mr. Weaver has developed the concept of “integrated marketing solutions,” and directed the firm’s conceptual development and implementation of creative strategies, in support of various marketing programs, for a diverse client base. Clients include MedStar Health, Bowie State University, Walt Disney World, Johns Hopkins University, MECU, and the Maryland Transportation Authority, to name a few.

Mr. Weaver has experience with the entire system development life cycle, from analysis and design, through construction and implementation. He has worked with a variety of static and interactive advertisement vehicles and performed logical and physical relational database design for multiple computer platforms. Mr. Weaver excels in team building and organizational development. He assigns, supervises and coordinates staff and consultants ensuring continuity and quality control on task orders.

Mr. Weaver holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology from Lincoln University and a Master of Science in Information Technology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
