New Career Opportunity: Nuclear Engineer Senior - (Procurement Engineer)

This position performs advanced engineering tasks that require extensive analysis of alternatives and includes responsibilities for technical decisions associated with important or complex projects to support the business plan. Performs engineering, root cause analysis, develop associated cost effective countermeasures, and provide expert advice for system malfunctions affecting the ability of business unit assets to meet their objectives. Assures designs meet federal/state/local/regulatory codes and standards, and operability, reliability, and cost targets. Directs and oversees major projects from inception though construction and final closeout documentation.

 

This position requires a demonstration of proficiency or ability to learn automated purchasing and materials management computer systems (familiarity and ability to use INDUS Passport/Ventyx Asset Suite is desired).  This position performs procurement engineering responsibilities discussed below and prior attendance at the EPRI Nuclear Utility Procurement Training is a plus. Direct experience in the mechanical discipline is preferred, but cross-discipline experience (Mechanical, Electrical and Instrument & Controls) is acceptable.



This position has an emphasis on commercial grade dedication and direct experience with the evaluation of commercial grade items for dedication is preferred.
