About this Internship: Be at the center of a busy, challenging corporate environment for a company that is a leader in the industry. The HR Communications intern will develop and assist in a wide variety of interesting communication projects, all geared to an internal audience of company associates: write articles, interview associates, create and post content for the company intranet, craft and edit mass e-mail messages. This exciting role will put you at the hub of company-wide communications – a fast-paced, engaging place to be. Your mentor will be the Director of HR Communications, a communications professional with many years of experience providing internal communications for global companies. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Help establish and maintain an editorial “voice” for company-wide internal communications. • Write articles for homepage of company intranet. The articles are a mix of: 1) outward-facing news, such as acquisitions and industry awards; 2) programs and initiatives inside the company; 3) stories about the people of ADP, i.e. “On the Job” interview with one associate. • Craft and edit messaging for mass emails. These run the spectrum from big-picture strategic companywide messages to tactical, need-to-know information. • Send e-mail messages via Outlook to broad and targeted audiences of associates. • Post content to company intranet – use your design sense to make it visually pleasing. REQUIREMENTS: • Excellent writing, grammar, editing • Excellent research abilities – enthusiasm for uncovering the story and getting the details right • Proactive, can-do attitude • Able to meet deadlines – must let the schedule tell you when to deliver • Able to juggle many tasks • Comfortable learning new software • Experience with design/layout a plus • Exceptional interpersonal skills • Journalism or communications background preferred • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; proficiency in Photoshop also a plus LOCATION: Roseland, NJ ADP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer; M/F/D/V.
