College club takes 15th spring break trip

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 02, 2012 By Sarah Janssen of The News-Sentinel Monday, April 2, 2012 - 8:11 am In 1997, Allen County Councilman Kevin Howell co-founded the Black College Club, and 15 years later, another group of club members will travel to Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington, D.C., to visit colleges and universities. About 1,200 students have been members of the club since its inception in 1997. Despite its name, the club is open to students of all races, which is reflected in its membership, said Howell.
