Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 12, 2012 The Department of Psychology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Industrial/Organizational Psychology to begin August, 2012. The candidate will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and graduate programs within the department. Faculty teach the equivalent of 12 credits per semester. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an active program of scholarship, advise students, engage in university and community service, and support a culture of collegiality and civility. Graduate program involvement and thesis advisement are also expected. There will be opportunities to collaborate in new curriculum development (i.e., diversity-related courses) and to engage students in collaborative research with business, industry and health care agencies. The University is located near Minneapolis-St.Paul in a growing area of Western Wisconsin providing numerous opportunities for business consulting. The department will provide opportunities for the successful candidate to implement innovative ideas and take leadership roles. The successful candidate will join a department with a strong B.S. in Psychology and a M.S. in Applied Psychology. The M.S. program has concentrations in Industrial/Organizational, Evaluation Research and Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. The department has excellent teaching and research facilities supporting many opportunities for faculty/student collaboration in the classroom and lab. Applicants will also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent directly from the recommender. Scholarship is defined broadly and includes both research and external consulting.
