TROJANS News: VSU Football Releases 2012 Signees

The complete list of 2012 Signees at Virginia state is complete. Head coach Andrew Faison and the Trojans announced the signing of 13 high school and college transfers. Overall, the 13 signees included (5) offensive lineman, (4) defensive lineman, (2) linebackers, (1) defensive back, and (1) running back.



Offensive Lineman

Aaron Hutchins 6’2 – 280 - Landstown HS - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Aaron Hutchins is an offensive guard/center that also played defensive tackle for head coach Tommy Reamon at Landstown High School. Hutchins was a first team All-District Offensive Lineman and a second team All-Tidewater Offensive Lineman.



Jarvis Tucker 6’4 – 320 - Southampton HS - Capron, Virginia

Tucker was a first team All-Conference Lineman and was named to the second team All-Region playing offensive guard for Coach Wes Griffith at Southampton HS. Jarvis is also a three year varsity starter for the Indians.



Christopher Senn 6’3 – 270 - C.H. Flower HS - Upper Marlboro, Maryland

Senn played offensive tackle for head coach Michael Mayo at C. H. Flower High School and was a second team All-County selection. He was a team captain, selected first team All-League, second team All-County, and played in the Prince County All-Star game.



Clayton Carr 6’2 – 305 - Jack Britt HS - Fayetteville, North Carolina

Carr played offensive guard for Head Coach Richard Bailey at Jack Britt High School. He is a first team All-Region selection and was also named to the second All-Conference team. Carr is very strong and aggressive.



Carrington Reyes 6’3 – 300 – Chabot Community College – Brentwood, CA

Reyes played left tackle for head coach Danny Calcagro at Chabot CC. Carrington helped the Gladiators rush for 2,679 yards and pass for 1,329 total yards. Reyes is a very physical player that has excellent footwork. Look for him to make an immediate impact at VSU, after winning the 2011 Golden Gate Conference Championship.





Running Back

Bryan Jones 5’10 – 190 - Chabot Community College - Hayward, California

Jones is a running back for Head Coach Danny Calcagro at Chabot Community College. Jones is a first team All-Conference selection in 2010 and 2011 that has excellent speed and quickness, look for him to make an immediate impact. Jones’ and his team were crowned the 2011 Golden State Conference Champions.







Defensive Lineman

Dejuan White 6’3 – 260 - John Marshall HS - Richmond, Virginia

White played defensive tackle for head coach Maruin Bridges at John Marshall High School. Coaches comment that Dejuan has good ball awareness and can shed blocks to get to the runner. Dejuan was selected as a first team All-District Offensive and Defensive Lineman and was an honorable mention All-Region and Metro Offensive Lineman.



Andrew Williams 6’3 – 265 - Redan HS - Lithonia, Georgia

Williams was a defensive tackle/end for head coach Clinton Lawrence at Redan High School. He was named Defensive Player of the Week, selected as a second team All-Region player, and was also selected to play on the Dekalb County All-State team.



Jalen Turner 6’4 – 300 – High Point Andrews HS - High Point, North Carolina

Turner played defensive lineman for Coach Rodney McCray at High Point Andrews High School. He is a two time first team All-Conference player, was named Lineman of the Year, and he was also named Student-Athlete of the Year. Look for him to compete for a starting job.



Dakota Reeves 6’6 – 275 - E.C. Glass HS - Lynchburg, Virginia

Reeves played offensive tackle as well as defensive tackle for Head Coach Richard Trent at E. C. Glass High School. Reeves was named second team All-District offensive tackle, second team All-District defensive lineman, and second team All-Area defensive lineman.





Linebacker

Daryl Irby 6’1 – 200 - Meadowbrook HS - Chesterfield, Virginia

Irby played outside linebacker for head coach Troy Taylor at Meadowbrook High School. Daryl was selected as a second team All-Conference player. Daryl is an athlete that loves the game. Where ever the ball is you will find him.



Meishan Cosmo 6’1 – 230 - College of the Seguoias - Miami, Florida

Cosmo played linebacker for Head Coach Robert Dougherty at College of the Seguoias. He is looking to make an impact for the Trojans this fall.





Defensive Back

Virginior Louiseau 6’2 – 205 - Chabot Community College - Fort Myers, Florida

Virginior played defensive back for Head Coach Danny Calcagro at Chabot Community College. He is a very physical player and has excellent speed as well as being a great hitter.
