The Murrieta Valley High School senior, who won a full scholarship from the Gates Millennium Scholars Program, excels in the classroom, participates in school activities, volunteers her time as a cheerleading coach and has a part-time job. And Gates, founder of Microsoft, would be happy to know that her family uses a Windows-based computer. The scholarship, worth up to $250,000, will take care of all of her expenses at Point Loma Nazarene University, where she will enroll in August. Celeste, an 18-year-old Murrieta resident, is one of 1,000 students selected from 24,000 applicants for the prestigious award. She plans to become a neo-natal nurse after graduation.
