We are about to put in some major work into overhauling the website this summer, so we'd love to get your feedback on enhancements you'd like to see us make on HBCUConnect.com!

If you offer us a really good, unique idea, and we implement it, we'll send you a FREE HBCU Connect T-Shirt.

We would like to see your ideas! What can we do to keep you engaged on our website? What features or functionality would you like for us to add? Or what type of content?

One thing we are going to do very soon is allow you to login with your facebook account if you have one which should make accessing the site easier for thousands of folks, but we want the site to be fun and useful, so please post your comments.

I'll be reading and reacting to all constructive input!

Greetings William,

This is Ask Coach J or Coach J Blogs: You asked the question what I would like to see. When visiting HBCU Connect I find it very informative with tons of information. The unfornate part is that I find it difficult to discover the information. A suggestion would be make items such as blogs or career information more discoverable. There is a lot of information being placed on your website, but I believe many of your readers are not able to access the information easily. I suggest that you reduce some of your links. I don't know how difficult this would be, but it is an suggestion I would love the opportunity to have live chats with you, your staff, and experts ( this will help your audience participate actively). I will send you a more detail explanation via e-mail. William, I believe HBCU is a great resource thank you for listening and giving your audience the opportunity to speak. Also will you be changing your logo?

Dear HBCU Connect,

I have a few things I believe will add to the fine work already being done. First, I believe a "High School" blog that gives and encourages the students to communicate more with College young people should be promoted! HBCU can help organize the hundreds of thousands of high schools into a very powerful body getting information from assigned HBCU Colleges in the regions where the high school students reside!

Secondly, I know the HBCU Schools need to connect with the NBA Players Association and the Retired NBA Players Association, both Union Entities, to get College Degrees for All of the Players who don't have degrees. This is a Win Win situation and We need to start off with LeBron James either in Florida or Ohio. The point is getting these Young Millionaires Educated so their money and them don't soon part! I'm available to work with HBCU Connect to make this Degree Program work! If you have "Vision, " many more things can come from the collaboration between the NBA Players and HBCU Connect! Let's get busy.

Thirdly, We need to promote the 105 Schools as the biggest Conference in the NCAA because WE can do that! We work together as One and We can do anything! The first thing is to financial literacy that shows how "Giving" Money to the HBCU Schools helps everyone in the Black Communities across the United States of America. We need to use all Alumni as Tutors/Mentors for Children residing in single parent households. We can do all these hings if we have the Will Power! Do We Have The Will Power to Save Ourselfes??

Dear HBCU Connect,

One other thing I left out was teaching Our Alumni to work with every neighborhood in the United States of America where we reside in numbers that make it necessary to work together. The point is this! All across the United States in small towns, big cities, small states, and large states, We Pay Tax Dollars that are Used to make the Budgets of Municipalities, Counties, and States. This is Our Tax Dollars at work! We, the Black Community, however, don't get Our Fair and Equitable Share of Refund Contract Dollars coming to Black Neighborhoods nor Black Companies. The difference between most Black Communities and White Communities is the Refund Contracts that White Businesses get to hire young white women and men to work fixing up their communities as well as working with a salary and benefits! We in the Black Family Pay Millions of Dollars that are used for these Budgets that do all kinds of things for the areas we reside in, but Our Black Companies and Neighborhoods don't get any of the Refund Contracts. I'm asking for Our Fair and Equitable Share of the Contract Refund Dollars. Black Businesses can hire young black women and men to clean up, build up, and make up what is needed to be done in our areas. We're involved in Taxation without Representation in the form of No Money Coming back to Our Communities. Some folk are probably Reading this and saying how does this Brother know what he's talking about. Well, I use the facts and figures of the Comptrollers of Big Cities and Most States to tell me exactly how Our Tax Dollars are being spent and Who is getting the Refund Contracts to fix up their communities. Do your research and see what's going on in your area. In New York City, John Liu is the Comptroller of the City that has 120 plus Billion Dollar Budget for every twelve months. Yes, NYC spends a lot of the Tax Dollars that Black Folk and Folk of Color contribute to the Budget for the City. Black Businesses get NO Contracts. I'm not even going to mention OUR Fair and Equitable Share. This has been going on for Decades in New York City and New York State. The Political Will is Dead and most Black Politicians act as if they don't even know what's going on. Most Do, but they just can't ask for Hundreds of Millions of dollars in Refund Contracts to come into Black and Poor Neighborhoods. In New Jersey, Matthew Boxer is the Comptroller of the State. Take a look at his records and you'll see No Business goes to Black Firms and Business and in the Garden State, Black Folks and People of Color contribute a huge amount of Taxes to budgets to Towns, County, City, and the State Governments. Taxation without Representation. As a matter of fact, this Economic Apartheid in the worst ways we can imagine. Once again, Stake Holders in New Jersey and Black Politicians act as if they don't know what's going on. Check Your Town Manager or Comptroller and See where Your Tax Dollars are Going! This is a great task the HBCU Connect Can do for the Black Community and others! Do You have the Will Power??

You should have a section for the Non-Traditional HBCU student (i.e. - working adults, single parents, and/or veterans going to school). I fell into each of those categories while attending Norfolk State and most many of our schools are not catering to this demographic. Students in this category are more focused on completion as better opportunities await them in the work place. Employers are drawn to them as they already have the work experience most companies are looking for.

A link is needed to be able to apply for absentee voting forms or something needs to be done so that students away at college will be able to vote in the up coming elections.
