PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The primary purpose of this position is to lead all aspects of IODC focused marketing efforts including formulating strategy, positioning, content development, prospect targeting, execution and measurement with the goal of improving and enhancing our ability to win and retain assets.  This role collaborates with the GIS NA leadership team, as well as with managers in RPS and TPD to identify marketing initiatives. The role then oversees the execution of those initiatives managing all aspects of the projects to produce and disseminate high level, institutional quality, content, presentations, advertising, PR and tools that will result in an enhanced ability for relationship management teams to positively position and differentiate T. Rowe Price in the IODC marketplace.

 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative idea generation as well as both strategic and tactical planning in support of growing our IODC market share: Develops marketing plans to support and position our IODC efforts. Given budget, resources, and analysis of the competitive landscape draws on appropriate marketing tools (content, road shows, speaking opportunities, webinars, sponsorships, PR, web) to promote T. Rowe Price in the institutional IODC marketplace.



Participates in cross business unit task forces and initiatives that help refine our go-to-market strategy including pricing, vehicle and service offerings and mapping a consistent client experience across the firm.

 

Create content and tools to support IODC marketshare growth as well as general brand and business growth: Develop valuable and meaningful content and tools for all of the communication mediums used in IODC and general institutional markets including, but not limited to, sales kit pages, client and prospect emails, meeting-specific presentations, and conference presentations. 

 

Research and analyze IODC industry trends: Monitors and analyzes IODC-focused industry trends, collaborate with areas outside of GIS including TPD, RPS to gather competitive information, use knowledge of trends and competitive environment to influence strategy and tactics.

 

Target attractive prospects: Help focus our IODC sales efforts by using purchased databases and in-house models to rate prospects, optimize prospecting in regional territories, and develop cross-sell plans. 

 

Website curation and content management: Manage content on our institutional website including coordination of campaign and promotional efforts and providing regional input for design and enhancement projects. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Preferred


  • Bachelor's degree in mass communications or marketing with a minimum of 7 years of marketing and/or communications experience

Required


  • College degree and 4 years of related work experience, or

  • Associate degree and 6 years related work experience, or

  • High School diploma/equivalent and 8 years related work experience

  • 3-5 years of relevant marketing experience (i.e., Web site development, content management, and creative development)

  • Experience working with DC plans and IODC market

  • Detail-oriented, organized with the ability to lead complex projects

  • Experience within investment or financial services industry

  • Excellent communication skills -- interpersonal, oral and written

  • Strong organizational and leadership skills

  • Creative thinker and problem solver

  • Ability to analyze data and think strategically

  • Detail oriented
