Why is it?

Why is it that a person(me) can be the sweetest, nicest, person to another person(a male) and still get treated like shyt?(excuse the language) Ok on da real! I use to get treated like shyt from boys in my hometown and all I would do is be nice, sweet, and do basically everything they asked. I thought it would be alil' different when I go to college but it didnt change. Boys here still treat me like shyt even though I do almost everything for them. They play me for a fool and I'm tired of gettin tricked! I mean I know I'm better then this......I guess Im just a sucker for a cute face. What should I do? Girl, I understand where u are coming from because EVERYONE has thought that about themselves at one point. I haven't been to college yet, but believe me, the Army is no different! You gotta stop living for the man and live for yourselves. Because all they are going to do is take your kindness as a weakness and take advantage of you. You know you are stronger than that!

First of all, don't beat yourself up because every female has felt this way at least once. But u have to start thinking about what makes u happy. It's good that u want to keep the guy that u like happy, it shows that you really care about him. But if he doesn't do the same for u, then u need to move on. Relationships r meant for both people involved to be happy. It's give and take- in your case u seem to be doing all of the giving. In a way u have to start being a little selfish. Let a guy do something really nice for u first for a change. But continue being nice and sweet because one day some guy is gonna fall in love with u because of that. Learn from these experiences that you've had, look for similiar things that guys have done before in guys that u talk to in the future. Keep ur head up, things will get better.

Believe me everyone goes through that phase, especially females. Its not you, it’s them they just don't know when a good person is in front their face. They want people to treat them like shyt, but you continue to do the opposite. It would kill them later in their lives, once they realize what they passed up. However, don't be dull, stop giving them things. It should always be 50/50 in a relationship. Trust me that’s where I want wrong. Remember good things come to those who wait. I know something the wait is a while, but when it come its worth that wait. Maybe you overlook a good guy by being occupied with those bad guys. All you do is just pray and God will guide you the way. ((Smile)) Then its only life lessons that makes us stronger.

I agree with what Tressia said completely! Simple fact is before a guy can even like you for you youv already put it out that "I want to please " and guys pick up on that stuff very quick! Basically a guy will treat you how you treat yourself. So if you come off as a pushover and someone who will do everything they ask alot of guys will take advantage of that. Demand the best for yourself. Allow the guy to get to know you for you and earn your trust and respect. Dont just give yourself completely to a guy from day one. Basically a person can only do to you what you ALLOW them to do to you. Dont think that all guys are like that because there are some genuine men out there who can appreciate a good woman. But first you have to appreciate yourself! I hope this helps.
