Posted By: How May I Help You NC on June 27, 2012 The individual in this position will be responsible for teaching a variety of biology related courses each term. The individual may teach classes in face-to-face or online modes. They must be able to articulate an understanding of, and an appreciation for, an urban, comprehensive, and open-door community college. Requirements qualifications and experience: 1. Master’s degree in biology or related area, Ph.D. preferred. 2. 2-3 years of higher education instruction. 3. Experience as a productive team member. 4. Excellent spoken and written communication skills. 5. Experience in teaching either anatomy and physiology, or microbiology and lab. Preferred qualifications and experience: 1. Familiarity with online instruction. 2. Experience in teaching multiple preparations such as: anatomy, cell biology, nutrition, physiology, microbiology, general biology, environmental science, diversity of organisms, etc. 3. Community college teaching experience. STARTS: Position available Fall Semester, 2012 SALARY: Commensurate with education and experience per the Master Contract.
