The need for information and analysis on the financial and energy markets means we need to have a presence in key markets worldwide. Nice view of the office building! One of our regional hubs that you might not be aware of is in Singapore. Our Asia-Pacific presence ranges from Australia to India, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines and Japan. Next to India, Singapore houses the next-highest number of our employees in the region. And those employees just got a pretty nice work environment upgrade! More than 200 McGraw-Hill colleagues from S&P Capital IQ, S&P Indices, S&P Ratings Services and Platts recently moved into new office space on the 23rd floor at Marina Bay in the heart of the new financial district in Singapore. Suri Kathpalia, Managing Director, S&P Singapore says, “We are excited about being co-located so that we can take full advantage of office efficiencies and the opportunity to learn from each other as we work more closely together to serve our clients.” Workstations are so much cooler than cubicles. The new single-level office has 26 rooms and 244 workstations across some 30,000 square feet of office space and is Green Label certified. Other features include state-of-the-art conference and meeting rooms, and a fully-integrated broadcasting studio, which will become the company’s main hub in the Asia-Pacific region for recording and disseminating videos, webcasts and other forms of media. Singapore is one of the world’s top five leading financial centres and McGraw-Hill has a proud history in the city.
