Intel operates mobile communication activities around the world, and our team in MCG is one of the leading modem providers worldwide. Growing market segment opportunities have accelerated our desire to deliver new modems on a regular cadence. As a result, MCG is expanding its research and development activities in the field of mobile communication platforms to fulfill our strategic target to become the leader in mobile platforms. We are planning to setup a complete modem team focused on HSDPA and LTE in the San Diego market, and to be operational later this year.
