Posted By: How May I Help You NC on August 27, 2012 UNCF – the United Negro College Fund – seeks a Program Assistant in the Leadership Development Department of the Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) Program. Initially funded by a $1.6 billion grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the goal of GMS is to promote academic excellence and to provide an opportunity for outstanding minority students with significant financial need to reach their highest potential. Under the general direction and supervision of the Director of Leadership, the Program Assistant will provide support to Leadership Development Programs managers for ongoing Leadership Development initiatives, serve as liaison to partner organizations and coordinate day to day operations for the Leadership Development Programs. The Program Assistant will also prepare/process check requests for vendors and reimbursement requests for scholars; track budget/fiscal activities for the Leadership Development Program and produce annual/quarterly reports; manage travel logistics for conferences and special events data entry and analysis and respond to Scholar inquiries regarding conferences/events and Academic Support.
