Successful candidates will join a faculty working across the arts, humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences in a curriculum that values interdisciplinarity, diversity, and community-engaged research and pedagogy. Candidates must have a record of teaching excellence and a demonstrated commitment to working with diverse student and community populations. All University of Washington faculty members engage in teaching, research, and service. All positions are 9-month academic year appointments. For full position descriptions, including specific qualifications and application requirements, see http://www.uwb.edu/hr/employment COMMUNITY PSYCHOLOGY—ASSISTANT OR ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR, 2 full-time, tenure-track positions. Dynamic educators who can integrate teaching, research, and practice in community psychology. Specific area of expertise is open. PhD required at time of appointment. QUANTITATIVE METHODS/DATA VISUALIZATION—ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, 1 full-time, tenure-track position. Dynamic educator who can integrate teaching, research, and practice in quantitative methods and data visualization. Focus on mathematical reasoning, statistics, and modeling, with application to one or more of IAS’s degree areas in the social and natural sciences preferred PhD required at time of appointment. PARTICIPATORY MEDIA/MEDIA PRODUCTION—ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, 1 full-time, tenure-track position. Dynamic educator who can integrate teaching, research, and practice in multimedia production and community-based media, with expertise in one or more of the following areas: video production; web-based technologies; audio production; participatory media; social networking media; documentary and ethnographic practices. MFA or PhD required at time of appointment. VISUAL ARTS—SENIOR LECTURER/ARTIST-IN-RESIDENCE, 1 full-time position, multi-year appointment, renewable. Dynamic educator who can integrate teaching, research, and practice in visual art (painting and drawing, sculpture, installation) with secondary expertise in public art, post-media, conceptual, or performance art. MFA or equivalent terminal degree required at time of appointment. Position is contingent upon available funding. Preferred deadline for all positions: October 22, 2012.
