We have Financial Analysts supporting every aspect of our business. General responsibilities of a Financial Analyst Intern may include: • Assist management in performing various ad-hoc projects or analysis such as financial performance impact analysis, financial models and reports, and variance analysis of actual and planned results. • Review journal entries and supporting documentation to ensure accurate reporting. • Conduct analysis of profit improvement initiatives for the business. • Review processes and propose recommendations for improvement. • Help execute on strategic initiatives. Financial Analysts serve as business partners in the functions they support primarily in the areas listed below: Sales Segments Finance teams in the Sales Segments work with marketing, sales, and customer service groups to drive key business initiatives. Roles include: • P&L Forecasting, Pricing, Operating Expense Management Corporate Functions Opportunities in the Corporate functions may include: • Planning & Analysis; Controllership; Treasury; Tax; Internal Audit Product Groups Finance teams support Product Groups with the design and development of Dell products. Roles include supporting the following activities: • Engineering; Product Development; Product Marketing Operations Functions Finance teams support Operations with the manufacturing and distribution of Dell products.
