Posted By: How May I Help You NC on October 24, 2012 Milton Hershey School (MHS) is seeking a Male Transitional Living Coordinator (TLC) for a male residence facility. The TLC is responsible for leading, mentoring and supervising High School Senior Boys residing in the Transitional Living facility. The TLC develops and delivers educational programming, as well as social and recreational activities. The TLC is accountable for building oversight and safety. Budget oversight is also a responsibility of the position. The Transitional Living program is designed to provide opportunity for MHS Seniors to develop independent living skills to ensure they're successful and self-sufficient post-graduation. The Coordinator develops and implements experiential learning opportunities and programs for students to promote their skill development through self-responsibility. Special focus includes time management and financial management, as well as self-management skills such as self-discipline and social skills. There is also a focus on helping Seniors learn balance and discipline, leading to achievement of academic outcomes required for graduation and post-college success. The TLC has supervisory responsibility for an Assistant and collaboratively works with him to ensure daily proactive interaction with the students to mentor and coach them to success.
