MILLIONAIRE?

Posted By: Stephen Watts on November 04, 2005 I PLAYED A QUICKPICK POWERBALL TICKET LAST NIGHT FOR A DOLLAR AND NEVER BOTHERED TO LOOK AT THE NUMBERS. WHILE DRIVING ON THE HGHWAY TO BRING A SPARE TIRE TO MY UNCLE, I SEE THE POWERBALL SIGN SAY 15 MILL. SOMEONE HIT. I DREAMED A LIL BIT THINKING "WHAT IF". I SNAPED OUT OF IT AND CAME BACK TO EARTH KNOWING THE UNLIKELINESS OF SUCH A THING OCCURING. BUT IT WAS GOOD TO DREAM. SO AFTER THE TIRE IS DROPPED OFF AND ME AND THE PEEPS ARE HEADING HOME WE GET HUNGRY B/C WE AIN'T ATE A THING ALL DAY. SO WE ORDER FROM THE RESTAURANT RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. BUT MY MOM ALWAYS MAKES A STOP IN THE 7-11 RIGHT NEXT TO THE RESTAURANT EVERYTIME WE ORDER. SO WHILE I'M THERE I GO TO THE TICKET SCANNING MACHINE. I SCAN IT AND IT SAID "WINNER SEE CLERK". I STILL HAVEN'T CHECKED THE NUMBERS SO NOW KNOWING THAT I WON SOMETHING MADE ME DREAM AND HOPE AND PRAY AND PRAY AND DREAM AND HOPE. I TOLD MY DAD THE DREAM IS STILL ALIVE. SO HE YELLS OUTSIDE "HEY WE'RE MILLIONAIRES!" MY HEART BEGAN TO RACE. I GAVE THE CLERK THE TICKET AND IT WAS LIKE PURE SILENCE LOOKING ANXIOUSLY. HE LOOKED AT ME AND SAID "THREE DOLLAR". I WAS BROUGHT BACK TO EARTH AGAIN. IT WASN'T BEFORE I GOT TO DREAM AND BE A MILLIONAIRE AND BE ON CLOUD NINE. IT WAS GOOD DREAM WHILE IT LASTED.
