Posted By: How May I Help You NC on December 14, 2012 Dell's Commercial Division Dell's Commercial organization in Consumer, Small and Medium Business; Public and Large Enterprise; includes many functions. These functions include, but are not limited to: Brand/Merchandising - Creation of brand tenets, campaigns and promotions for Dell's various product lines across all sales channels. Product lines include laptops, desktops, electronics & accessories, gaming products, and service and financing products. Sales channels include offline (phone), online and retail. Responsible for in-quarter management of revenue and margin goals for each product line. Tactical ownership of offer details and promotional pricing. Product Planning - Integration with R&D to plan, develop and launch new products that meet and exceed our customers' needs and expectations. Marketing Communications - Ownership of offline marketing and advertising execution. Offline vehicles include catalog, other direct mail pieces, magazine advertising, newspaper advertising, broadcast and cable commercials, and out-of-home advertising. Responsible for contact strategy and marketing budget effectiveness. Online - Development and management of the Dell.com website for the Consumer division. Integration of new technologies and online tools to improve and optimize the online research and sales experience for our customers. Responsible for online advertising such as e-mail campaigns, banner ads, search terms, and product listings. Retail Planning and Operations - Construction of and improvements to a new product readiness and supply chain model to integrate with our new retail partners. Sales and Sales Operations – Selling and communicating directly with Dell customers through various inbound sales queues. Operations positions leverage key problem solving skills and engage in strategy to train and develop our customers, resellers and sales staff while developing analytical skills and call center operations knowledge. New Business Development and Partnership Marketing - Representation of Dell with key business partners and vendors, and management of funding opportunities from those vendors. Responsible for seeking out new partnerships inside and outside our technology space. Marketing Operations - Creation of a long-term business strategy and related financial plans. Measurement of the progress of the division's results against the plan, with analysis of possible course corrections to improve business trajectory. Also responsible for competitive pricing analysis and list price setting and for supply-demand decisions resulting from actual vs. projected sales by product line.
