UNCF Joint Campaign

The United Negro College Fund plays a critical role in providing unrestricted dollars needed for operational support - which helps to lower the cost of tuition for students, while still providing necessary scholarships, internships, technology enhancement, and faculty and administrative professional training.

Your gift to Shaw University's United Negro College Fund campaign is a major investment in the life and future of its students. Campaign funds provide an educational opportunity that will allow Shaw students to advance in a globally competitive environment and contribute meaningful, productive solutions in our communities and in our world.

More than 94 percent of our students come from low-to-moderate income families and require some form of financial assistance.

Many are the first in their families to ever attend college - an opportunity gained through your giving. Their dream of becoming tomorrow’s teachers, lawyers, doctors, entrepreneurs and leaders are fulfilled because of generous supporters like you.

Yes, your gift is an investment! For every dollar that you give to the Shaw University United Negro College Fund campaign, the college receives a return from the United Negro College Fund.

Giving is reciprocal. We ask that you take a bold step and assist in giving an educational gift of a lifetime to a student who may not have the opportunity to obtain or complete a college education. So make a difference by giving your gift today. Remember, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste."
