Posted By: How May I Help You NC on January 23, 2013 Duties & Responsibilities The Research Analyst: Develops, designs, and conducts original research by working with the Faculty director on all aspects of the research process, including but not limited to: Conducting statistical analyses of large and often sensitive education datasets; · Developing and presenting appropriate empirical strategies; · Brainstorming potential solutions to systemic problems in education and possible experiments to test them; · Conducting literature reviews and preparing memoranda; · Designing interview, survey, and assessment protocols; and · Preparing results for publication in academic journals; Designs and modifies research methods by working with the Project Management and Administrative teams to ensure that experiments are implemented with fidelity to the research design, including but not limited to: · Resolving challenges in research design and data collection; · Managing research designs to ensure that all research is conducted to the highest and most rigorous scientific standards; · Troubleshooting of unforeseen challenges in research implementation and data gathering; · Working with finance professionals to determine budgets; · Manages research studies including subject interaction, implementation of study design and controls, and on-and-off-site trouble shooting; including but not limited to: · Preparing proposals and presentations for potential funders; · Assisting with funder reporting and other communications; · Managing data and research records; · Managing the transfer, use, and storage of sensitive data in a secure facility; · Drafting and managing agreements with project partners and others; · Drafting documents for and coordinating approvals from Harvard and other Institutional Review Board officials; and · Interacting with research subjects as necessary; · Identifying, establishing, and managing relationships with project partners, including school and district leadership, vendors, contractors, and subawardees, among others · Disseminates project results through writing articles, reports, memos, case studies, and conference presentations; and · Works individually and with the team on other projects and programs.
