Posted By: How May I Help You NC on February 11, 2013 Position Located in Atlanta, GA, and reporting directly to the Chairman of the Board, the new President will be an engaged and empathetic leader who enjoys both leadership and management. S/he will assume responsibility for all functional areas and will have four direct reports, including a Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President for Operations, Senior Vice President of Development, and Senior Vice President of Programs & Chapter Member Services and approximately a potential of up to twelve other staff. Central to the success of the President is a passion for mentoring, and a belief that through the collective efforts of the many volunteers who are committed to The 100’s mission, that the lives of many young people can be affected and changed for the better. Responsibilities Strategic vision and leadership • Partner with the Board, senior staff, and key influencers to chart an innovative and sustainable course for The 100, especially regarding program development and innovation • Implement plans and policies authorized by the Board and provide continual communication about trends, successes, and challenges • Create an atmosphere that encourages free exchange of ideas allowing for deep engagement by the Board, staff, and volunteers in the process of delivering on The 100 mission • Assume accountability for long term financial stability of the organization Resource development/Fundraising • Work with the Senior Vice President of Development to create and implement a diversified and comprehensive development/fundraising plan • Devise innovative ways to supplement current activities and build a sound financial platform to secure The 100’s future including: o Identifying philanthropic resources and proactively helping secure major gifts o Bringing foresight, creativity, and the commitment necessary to identify and implement donor/solicitation strategies that maximize fundraising opportunities o Making ‘the ask’ and closing the deal o Actively promoting The 100’s mission and communicating program successes to achieve greater familiarity nationally and within local communities, especially to those donors searching for their best philanthropic investment option Community building • Serve as primary spokesperson and representative for the organization, building bridges to key community, government, and business leaders and enhancing community awareness of The 100’s name and program offerings • Nurture and expand the relationship between the national headquarters and the local chapters • Ensure mission, programs, and services of The 100 maintain official records, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations Click this link to view and apply for this job!
