Posted By: How May I Help You NC on February 25, 2013 Courtesy MEAC Media Relations Sun, February 24, 2013 Bethune-Cookman Falls to Dartmouth, 8-4 DELAND, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman jumped out to a 3-1 first inning lead, but Dartmouth's five-run lifted the Big Green to an 8-4 victory over the Wildcats in the final game of the Hatter Classic Sunday. Aurelia Gamch and Simone Ceasar scored on a single by Kelsey Rodney, who later scored on a throwing error to give the Wildcats (2-12) the early lead. Dartmouth built to its lead to 8-3 in the fifth before B-CU scored on a Michelle Baneulos-Smith single that brought home Rodney. Ceasar went 3-4 on the day, while Rodney was 2-4 with the two RBI. Melissa Berouty had two hits, including a fourth-inning double. Banuelos-Smith (.529 4 RBI) and Calesha Shelley (.429 3 RBI) were named to the all-tournament team.
