Human Resources Manager

Job Purpose:

Provide Human Resources leadership and management to assigned business unit(s) or plant through proactive involvement with leadership to maintain a work environment that enhance efficiency, effectiveness and  productivity. 

Primary (Essential) Job Functions (This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary by the company.):

1.      Ensure that NextEra Energy Resources' Equal Opportunity Employment plan is communicated and successfully accomplished in maintaining fair and equitable treatment for all employees.

2.      Manage and advise the local administration of labor relations activities in concert with Labor Relations, the IBEW and the memorandum of agreement.

3.      Coordinate the scheduling of all local training activities for assigned business unit(s).

4.      Manage the local safety programs and activities promoting safety consciousness and a safe work environment to assigned business unit(s).

5.      Provide communication and local representation for all HR activities.

6.      Ensure NextEra Energy Resources' compliance with employment related laws at the federal, state and local levels by providing day-to-day counseling and regularly interacting with management.

7.      Form strategic alliance with assigned business unit(s) by providing workforce analysis to develop programs and policies to maximize the workforce potential.

8.      Ensure that NextEra Energy Resources' plan is communicated and successfully accomplished in maintaining fair and equitable treatment for all employees in a diverse workforce.

9.      Ensure consistent and timely administration of the corporate compensation policies.

10.  Manage the internal placement process for assigned business unit(s).

11.  Ability to meet attendance requirements.

12.  Ability to work extended hours.
