Posted By: How May I Help You NC on March 27, 2013 FEATURED Content U.S. Department of State Announces the Release of New Foreign Service Careers Mobile Application: Federal Agency Uses Innovative Technologies to Engage with Potential Foreign Service Candidates The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Human Resources, Office of Recruitment, Examination and Employment is pleased to announce the release of DOSCareers, a new mobile application or “app.” This app educates and engages aspiring Foreign Service candidates and others seeking to familiarize themselves with diplomatic careers. The DOSCareers app offers essential information right at the users’ fingertips: Foreign Service Specialist and Officer career path descriptions, videos of employees in specific career tracks, sample questions from prior Foreign Service Officer Tests (FSOTs), an overview of the selection and hiring processes, links to a variety of free study resource applications, and links to Diplomats in Residence (DIRs) and recruitment events. With the increased use of Smartphone technology across a diverse demographic, this app was developed to reach potential candidates from various educational, cultural, and geographic locations throughout the United States, and to provide a variety of resources to help them pursue a Foreign Service career. The DOSCareers mobile app showcases the U.S. Department of State’s continuing commitment to innovative recruitment efforts. It is available as a free download for both iPhone and Android devices.
