The Department of Marketing, Industrial Distribution and Economics (MIDE) seeks applicants for an open rank, tenured or tenure earning position in Economics. The Economics program offers Bachelor of Science (Business) and Bachelor of Arts (Arts & Sciences) degrees. There is also a unique Philosophy and Political Economy (PPE) concentration that attracts very high quality students. The School offers a unique degree program in Medical Products Distribution that is a joint School of Business and School of Medicine effort. UAB has a Healthcare Leadership Academy for the training in management skills of high potential future leaders of UAB healthcare schools and healthcare facilities. UAB is an entrepreneurial institution that supports and encourages exceptional programs of cross- disciplinary scholarship and innovative programs of study.
