Posted By: How May I Help You NC on April 05, 2013 FEATURED Content Scope of Position: The Atlanta summer intern will be tasked with supporting various field sales and marketing initiatives on Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, Southern Comfort, Gentleman Jack and Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey. The individual will be exposed to the marketing strategy for these brands and be expected to study relevant brand information and marketing materials. He or she will play a key role in the implementation and execution of brand promotions in the Atlanta area. A recap presentation will be requested at the end of the employment period. Job Description: • Introduction to Brown-Forman and assigned brands: o Review brand education modules to expand knowledge of brand history, unique product qualities and portfolio role o Examine brand plans to understand national platforms, top-line pricing direction, competitive set and target consumers o Review regional programs to understand their role (i.e. awareness, trial or loyalty) in connecting with specific consumer groups o Link to brand Homepage(s), Facebook page(s) and Twitter feed(s) to expand product knowledge and gain the consumer perspective • Support planning and implementation of Field Marketing programs-Atlanta specific o Summer Swarm Promotion (Social Media, General Market) Participate in stakeholder call and review playbook Assist in developing social media brief for the BF Digital group Research event site locations and provide merchandising assistance o Arts, Beats & Lyrics (Social Media, PR, African-American) Contact On-premise Mgr to ensure availability of POS/Merchandising for pre-event promotions and on-site activation Work with PR agency to confirm media groups receive credentials and VIP access Assist with event day execution including event set-up, delivery of POS/Merchandising kits and conduct JDTH tastings during the event o Atlanta Hawks Sponsorship (Media, General Market/African-American) Explore (3) new consumer SMS activation tactics and present to FMM Assist in recapping sponsorship activities (i.e. media, venue and channel activation) o GJ/JDTH Local Promoter Activation (Social Media, African-American) Provide local promoters with updated logos to use in eblast creative Assist Brand Development with on-site merchandising Conduct JDTH tastings at two consumer events o GJ Father’s Day Engraving program Explore Social Media options to promote GJ engravings Assist in developing social media brief for the BF Digital group Make recommendations to revise the existing plan o Summer Festival Sponsorships Support team in activating, but not limited to, the Dogwood and Summer Festival sponsorships • On-site merchandising prior to event • Conduct brand tastings at designated brand locations • Assist with event breakdown • Assist in managing program budgets Click this link to view and apply for this job!
