The Vice President of Field Operations

Purpose of Position: The Vice President of Field Operations is a Brooklyn based position that is responsible for managing a team of remote field based sales representatives. The position is also responsible for managing a team of Brooklyn based operations staff. The Brooklyn team includes Inside Sales, Lead Generation, Sales Support, Pipeline/Forecast Management, and Order Processing. The position will also be responsible for running the day to day operations of the sales organization. This position will initially have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Senior Vice President of Sales. The SVP of Sales will be responsible for training for this new position to ensure an efficient on-board within the organization. B.) Essential Duties: 1. Strategic Planning Develop, execute and maintain a sales staffing and territory plan that ensures product sales targets are achieved Develop, execute and maintain a renewal operations plan that ensures renewal sales targets are achieved Develop, execute and maintain an overall sales operations plan that ensures lead generation, inside sales, outside sales, marketing and our CRM systems are aligned and efficient for all key stakeholders 2. Management Recruit, mentor, manage and lead a world class team of field based sales professionals to achieve quarterly and yearly product sales targets Coach sales representatives to penetrate accounts, captivate decision makers, and overcome selling obstacles Work with sales representatives to create and execute tactical sales plans that ensure quota attainment 3. Sales Tools Work with marketing and product teams to develop sales tools that empower reps to be more effective in their selling efforts. This includes collateral, product demos, PowerPoint presentations, and case studies 4. Market and Product Expertise Develop and maintain expertise in Amplify product features and benefits and provide important feedback to product and service teams on customer requirements Apply a thorough understanding of the educational marketplace, industry trends, funding developments and Amplify products to all management activities Asess RFP opportunities. Work with the RFP team to drive completion of comprehensive responses 5. Operations Ensure that Sales department operations function smoothly, with the goal of implementing strong communication processes for ensuring all department staff is as current as possible with their internal knowledge of marketing, product, and service plans Accurate pipeline management and quarterly sales forecasting Develop sales projections by product area for existing products and projections for new products to be released to the market Internally manage and resolve customer contract issues Manage expense budget Develop and implement a dashboard of KPIs for the sales department Click this link to view and apply for this job!
