Position Details Department: 059001 - Graduate School of Social Work Position: 00013599 - Research Associate, Center for Social Innovation Grade or Band: 00 Eligible for Overtime Pay Job Description Research Associate, Center for Social Innovation Part-time (3 days per week), grant-funded Hiring Range: $30,240-$37,800 Reporting to the co-Director of The Center for Social Innovation (CSI) at the Graduate School of Social Work, Research Associate will support work on the project, "Knowledge Transfer and Social Innovation Lab Implementation" (referred to as the Social Innovation Project), funded by Ruta N Medelln. The Center for Social Innovation works to promote "innovation from within" by building the capacity of the social sector to foster effective, sustainable social innovations. The Social Innovation Project will work with Ruta N Medelln to support leadership development in design thinking and social innovation, and implement a Social Innovation Lab to address pressing social needs in the city of Medelln, Colombia. The Research Associate will provide support and research services related to the Social Innovation Project. Activities are primarily related to ongoing data collection and analysis efforts. The Incumbent will provide input on survey development and study design; develop on-line survey; support preparation of institutional review board application for human subjects. He/She will support data collection through on-line survey tool and interviews, develop database to store collected data, clean, code, manage data as collected, support data analysis and development of reports to Ruta N Medelln and support development of manuscripts associated with project The Research Associate will report to the Principal Investigator for this project. However, the person filling this position should be able to work independently. Please include a cover letter with your application. Requirements Candidates should have a master's degree either in social sciences, management, social work or related fields. Candidate should have some research experience and some familiarity with SPSS and survey software. The Research Associate should have strong written communication skills.
