A pair of All-Southwestern Athletic Conference kickers were added to the 2013 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS Watch List. With the addition of Alabama State University's Booby Wenzig and Prairie View A&M's Chris Barrick, 12 players from the SWAC grace the CFPA preseason watch

Last season, Wenzig (6-2 • 180 • Sr. • San Diego, Calif.) was second on the team in scoring with 62 points.

He connected 38-of-42 PATs and finished 8-for-14 on field goal attempts. He made a season-long 46-yard attempt against Alabama A&M in the State Farm Magic City Classic.

Wenzig averaged more than 61 yards per kickoff, resulting in 14 touchbacks, helping the Hornets limit opponents to only 19 yards per kick return. He also served as ASU's punter averaging a league best with 45.6 yards per attempt. He was named to the All-SWAC First Team as a punter after winning the SWAC Specialist of the Year weekly award on six occasions. His postseason accolades include BoxtoRow, Academic, SBN Sports Black College and FCS All-America honors.

Barrick (6-4 • 180 • R-Jr. • Copperas Cove, Texas) led PVAMU in scoring with 65 points and ranked second in the SWAC in field goal percentage (.820) connecting 9-of-11 last season. On kickoff, he averaged 56.1 yards per kick from 54 attempts. Barrick received SWAC Specialist of the Week honors following Prairie View A&M's win over Alcorn State. He scored 10 of the Panthers 52 points from seven PATs and a 23-yard field goal. At the end of the season, Barrick was voted to the All-SWAC Second Team.

All CFPA recipients are selected exclusively based upon objective scientific rankings of the extent to which individual players increase the overall effectiveness of their teams. All players are eligible for awards at their respective positions; players are not preemptively eliminated from consideration. The winner will be announced January 8, 2014.
