Apply at: jobs.tmcc.edu Position Description: Truckee Meadows Community College, located in Reno, Nevada, is seeking applicants for two Job Preparation and Employment Specialists. The major functions of these positions involve the performance of various professional duties which will assist program participants for the Re-Entry/Job Prep Center to attain personal and economic self-sufficiency. One position will specialize in working with displaced homemakers and single parents under the Re-Entry Center grant programs. The second will specialize in working with students enrolled in the college's career and technical education (CTE) degrees and certificates. Primary duties include teaching job search preparation workshops, tracking job placement of program participants and developing relationships with the business community. Duties include screening and intake of applicants, determination of eligibility for services, career guidance, creation and implementation of personal career plans, referrals for college and community services, outreach to community agencies, marketing of workshops and services within the community, and backup support services to assist the other staff professionals. Conditions of Employment: These are full-time, non-tenure track, grant funded positions reporting to the Manager of the Re-Entry/Job Preparation Center. Renewable contract contingent upon available funds from the grant.
